Salaam Aleikum! Welcome to Morocco! Your Women’s Expedition kicks off with a welcome meeting at 6pm – check the hotel reception for details on location and time. Afterward, join your leader and fellow travelers for an optional dinner. Don't miss a visit to Djemaa el-Fna, the buzzing town square, where you'll experience the lively atmosphere with musicians, dancers, fortune tellers, and more. If you have some extra time before the trip starts, explore the Koutoubia Mosque or the beautiful Majorelle Gardens.

Board your private transport and settle in for the journey to Boutghrar village . You'll be hosted by local women, and there will be some Amazigh music and local songs to enjoy. A tasty, traditional meal will be waiting for you on arrival. Your accommodation is a beautiful terracotta gite (rural guesthouse). From here, the views of the surrounding hills are superb, and you'll be greeted with warm hospitality from the local family who run the establishment.
Your travel time will be approximately 7 hours.
Set off on a scenic hike from Bou Tharar village to Agouti Village (5–6 hours). For the next four days, you’ll be guided by one of the region’s first local female guides, who will share her deep knowledge of the area and her nomadic history. As you hike westward, you’ll pass through villages and meet friendly locals. In the afternoon, take part in a cooking demonstration where you’ll learn to prepare traditional dishes, including the classic couscous, which is an essential part of Maghrebi cuisine. Watch how it's made the traditional way – perfect for soaking up Morocco’s famous slow-cooked tagines.

Start your day with a scenic walk through Agouti Gorge, passing through Almdoun Village on your way to Amejgag (5–6 hours). At some point, you'll cross a river—possibly more than once—so be prepared to roll up your trousers and take off your shoes, or consider wearing closed-toed sandals. Your experienced guide will find the safest crossing points, but expect to get a bit wet! Once in Amejgag Village, immerse yourself in local tradition with a weaving workshop led by a women's cooperative. Learn the ancient art of weaving, with expert guidance from local artisans. Afterward, enjoy a walk through the village to admire its unique architecture.

From there, climb 200 meters uphill to the Tissardan pass, where you’ll be rewarded with a stunning view of the M’Goun Valley. Then, descend 300 meters to Issoumar village, where you’ll spend the night. In the afternoon, enjoy an intimate cultural experience as local women share folk tales and play music in the guesthouse. Singing is an important part of the tradition, so expect to join in, maybe even donning some traditional dress. This isn’t a performance—it's a chance to be fully immersed in the experience.
