Tour Plan

Day 1: Marrakech-Dades

We will pick you up from where you are staying at 7:15 am. Since we will be traveling in an air-conditioned minibus, you can relax, knowing that you will be comfortable throughout the ride. We will visit the Atlas Mountains, a mountain range that spans approximately 2,500 kilometers through Morocco, Algeria as well as Tunisia. Toubkal, the highest peak of the range in southwestern Morocco, has an elevation of 13,671 ft. The Atlas Mountain range is home to a wide range of plants and animals native to Africa. We will also visit the kasbah, which is home to trendy cafes, souks, and street-food vendors offering various dishes such as bean soup and grilled meats. There are 6 Kasbahs within the city, but you will have your lunch in the Kasbah situated at Ait Ben Haddou. We will also visit Ouarzazate, a popular film-making location. Some of the films that were shot in the area include Hanna, Lawrence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, The Mummy, The Living Daylights, and Legionnaire. Ouarzazate is a key holiday destination in the country as many excursions through the Draa Valley into the Sahara Desert begin from the city, such as the trips from the oasis town of Zagora to Timbuktu. Some of the notable attractions around Ouarzazate include the Fint Oasis, Ounila Valley, CLA Studios, Skoura Oasis, Atlas Film Studios, Tizgui Waterfall, and Stork’s Kasbah. We can take a break at one of the cafes before exploring the Dades Valley, which is also known as the Land of a Thousand Kasbahs. You can relax at a private guesthouse and enjoy delicious Moroccan cuisines for dinner. True to its moniker, the valley has plenty of Kasbahs and a variety of birch, almond, and fig trees as well as earthen-colored stony formations.

Day 2: Dades- Merzouga

On the second day of the tour, after having an early breakfast, we will visit the Todra Gorge. The limestone river canyons were featured in a 2012 ad for the Cadillac CTS and expedition Impossible, an American reality show. Todra Gorge is located near the city of Tinerhir. Some of the canyons are 400 meters tall. Admire the lofty pink cliffs dyed with gold and green that span almost 1000 ft above you. The colors of the canyon change throughout the day, based on the position of the sun. We will have lunch in Merzouga, a small town in southeastern Morocco near Erg Chebbi. It has been called a desert theme park and is home to Morocco’s largest underground body of water. During the tour, you will have the chance to mount a camel and trek the Dunes of Erg Chebbi together with a friendly local guide. You don’t need to worry about anything because the guides are experienced with this desert mammal. The Erg Chebbi dunes are one of the most popular sights of the country. The giant sandhills are as tall as 150 meters and line the Algerian border. We will stay overnight at the Berber desert camp where you will have your dinner. The dark night sky will allow you to see 10 times as many stars or distant sky objects as you may in other cities. You will sleep in a nomad tent cover with the gentle Moroccan drums as your lullaby.

Day 3: Merzouga- Fes

We will head back to Marrakesh in the morning on our camels. We will visit the city of Ifrane or Little Switzerland of Morocco. It’s located in the Atlas Mountains, and it snows here during winter, hence the moniker. Ifrane is a garden city, a regal hill station, a mountain resort, a college town, an imperial city, and a provincial administrative center. The garden city concept was developed as a social reform model to solve the issues faced by 19th-century industrial towns. Ifrane has winding tree-lined streets and village-type architecture. The city’s colonial reality is shown in 2 different ways – the Zaouiat Sidi Abdeslaminhabitants were never correctly remunerated for their loss, and the town plan was never completed. The Moroccan guards, maids, and gardeners who worked for the colonial home-owners never benefited from any infrastructure and housing provisions. They were forced to construct their own quarters in another area. You can have your lunch in Ifrane or in the Ziz Valley, a stunning local Moroccan route lined with golden ancient valley walls, ksar, and kasbahs. The stunning landscape promises unlimited photographic opportunities. We will travel to the Ziz Valley in an air-conditioned minibus. You will see reddish-gold dunes, beautiful oases within the Tafilalt, palm trees and spectacular gorges during the trip. The picturesque valley has rose-colored golden sandstone buildings as well. Our tour includes pick up from your hotel and drop off at your destination, modern air-conditioned minibus or minivan, standard tents for an overnight stay at the desert, camel treks, breakfast and evening meals, and stopover at Todra Gorge, Ait Ben Haddou’sKasbah and Dades Gorge Valley. We also offer Sahara Desert tour Fes to Marrakech. For more information about our tours, feel free to contact us anytime.
